Oh how we love our zoo here in Omaha. It's truly one of the best ! I've been to several zoos growing up and I remember thinking that the zoo in Chicago was the best one ever, well I'm here to tell you if you are in the midwest visiting or living go check out the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. Every year they add more and more animal exhibits making it better than the year before. Our daughters typically purchase a year pass and believe me we go so often that it's completely worth it.
We went this past Sunday and took all four of the grandkids. The weather was perfection, only if the kids would have been. LOL, semi joking. Ameer had a huge meltdown before we even made it into the zoo, miss Mia wanted to be big and push the stroller but her mom. said "no" so Mia was out of sorts.
We headed directly to the aquarium and everyone regrouped ! We saw smiles, laughs and everyone started having a good time.
There was a lot of construction and some of the animal exhibits were closed, very much a bummer, but I'm sure they'll be working diligently this spring to have it all ready for the summer visitors.
