Summer Time & Daisies ~

My daughter and nature, she loves flowers, tall grass, butterflies and beautiful rimmed hats. She takes after my own mother. Growing up I never cared much about the glorious flower beds my mom had throughout our yard. All I knew is that she spent countless hours out there "playing in the dirt" as I'd call it. I look back and wish that I'd shown more interest in her gardening. My own daughter has sure found gardening to be therapeutic. She's made the landscape in the front and back yard of our home look like one out of the magazine "Home & Garden". Is that still even around, the magazine ? Either way I'm so proud of her and her gardening skills. She's for HIRE !!! Just kidding.

A snapshot of the Lillies in the front yard ~ They are stunning, we have yellow one's also. I don't know why I can't find the photograph of the yellow lillies in my endless albums here on my IMac or I'd share how gorgeous they are also.

We made our way out to Chalco Hills and snapped some photos one evening in the past few weeks. I purchased a new camera lens (that was priced as much as a used car) and wanted to practice with it. Of course I needed a subject to photograph and my daughter was happy to help.

My girl chose her outfit, location and even brought along props. We ended up with some amazing photos and my lens isn't too darn bad.

The areas were full of tall grasses, daisies, some purple flowers sprinkled around here and there. It was GOLDEN HOUR and so the sun was shining a little through the trees.

Photography has become more than a hobby, I've embraced all things photography, I've watched endless Youtube Videos on ways to pose subjects, spent hours offering FREE Photo Sessions to family & friends, to better my skills. They say the more you photograph the better. Photography is therapeutic and gives me an opportunity to use my creative side. It's important that we all have our own little niche. I've found mine, my Niche..... and I'm having fun with it. Making a few dollars here and there and spending hours fine tuning the yellows and greens in my photographs. I want to deliver beautiful photos to family, friends and clients, one's that they'll cherish forever.
