As I type this blog post I'm smiling so big, this trip was the BEST EVER. We ( My daughter &I) took off from OMA and Landed in MSP around 7 ish AM on Tuesday November 4th. We had a little bit of a layover , well... enough time to grab a small bagel and then get to our gate for the long 8 hour 20 minute flight to HNL. We landed in HNL ( HONOLULU, HAWAII) around 2:33 PM enough time to get out and sight see after unpacking at our hotel. We got off the plane and saw sunny skies. As we walked out into beautiful 83-84 degree temperatures both my daughter and I smiled so big. It felt amazing to be here, where there's so much beauty. Between the flowers, all the green trees and the views of the ocean everywhere I found so many wonderful photo spots, by the way I took over 1,900 photos on my good camera. My daughter rented us a convertible BMW !!! Yes, super fun. We had the top down most of the time while driving around the island. We didn't have to drive much simply because we stayed pretty close to the beach. Everything was in walking distance. But to go on a Dolphin Adventure and to go see North Shore Beaches we drove and had the top down. I have so much to share so I'll break this trip into several posts so sip your coffee and enjoy ~

We walked by this sign and beautiful tree on repeat it was close to our hotel, and so of course I snapped lots of photos right here at this exact spot. I shared a lot over on TikTok. Isn't she pretty. Speaking of Hotel we stayed at Waikiki. We were in close proximity to everything, the beach, restaurants, and shopping.

We woke up extra early almost every single day and headed to coffee. Our first full day on the island we went to Honolulu Coffee and it was fabulous. The coffee shop was bright and cheery. While there we met a Goldendoodle named Max who was super friendly, I didn't get a photo of Max and darn it, I wish I would have. His owner was super friendly and we all chatted and learned about other coffee shops on the island. He inquired about Warren Buffett if you know you know. I had to tell him that I'd never met the millionaire unfortunately.

I bought a coffee mug from here and as I type this blog post I'm sitting my coffee from my new coffee mug. I really liked the aesthetic coffee shop and the coffee was amazing.

This view was amazing, if you follow the path it'll take you to the beach. How cool is it to see all these cool surf boards. We didn't surf , I've never tried to but my daughter was really close to taking lessons and unfortunately I discouraged it. They have people on corners handing out brochures with how to sign up for lessons and I'm sure eventually one day she'll try it because she's way more adventurous than I am.
