More From Hawaii
More images from North Shore, the drive over there from Waikiki-Honolulu was about 45 minutes. It was a quick easy drive, I highly suggest renting a car while on the island. Renting a car allowed us to venture off and explore everything on the island. The ocean was rough, no one could enter the water ( I guess you could if you wanted a death sentence) there were warning signs all over. We saw lots of people sitting in the sand and even families having photo sessions on the

North Shore - Oahu Part #5
We drove over to North Shore on Thursday November 6th and really loved it. We hit several beaches but they were closed off to swimmers/surfers due to the dangerous shore break. We enjoyed our toes in the sand and the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. Being from Nebraska this isn't a normal occurance so for me it was all so peaceful. Disappointed that getting into the water on this side of the island wasn't an option but this is winter season over there and so the

Waikiki Part #4
I loved walking past this little spot every day, the purple flowers and the signage are both so pretty. As a photographer this kind of thing just brings us JOY ! My daughter might have gotten tired of me contstantly wanting to stop here for photos, but she's a good sport and let me have my moment. I packed both a black and white spaghetti strap dresses because I just knew they'd look great in the photos. I've had these dresses for several years and was waiting for the perfect

Waikiki Part #3
We arrived in Oahu at 2:33 pm on November 4th which is so nice because after unpacking at the hotel and changing out of our travel clothes we were able to stroll through Waikiki before it got dark. We enjoyed walking around seeing all that Waikiki had to offer. From amazing restaurants to amazing shopping you can find it all here. We secretly wanted to get into Hermes but there was a bouncer standing out front so we knew it wasn't happening. The weather was in the 80's the w

Oahu Trip Part #2
Everything was beautiful even the bus stops. I snapped so many photos because WHY NOT? We never slept in, my body was on Central Time Zone and so I woke up like clock work around 2 ish AM every single morning which would have been 6 ish AM in Nebraska. My daughter, bless her heart, had to tolerate me waking up early and going to bed early several nights. We kept so busy and walked a lot that by the end of the day my head hit the pillow and I slept hard. Day # 2 we woke up an

Our Time In Beautiful Oahu Hawaii Part #1
As I type this blog post I'm smiling so big, this trip was the BEST EVER. We ( My daughter &I) took off from OMA and Landed in MSP around 7 ish AM on Tuesday November 4th. We had a little bit of a layover , well... enough time to grab a small bagel and then get to our gate for the long 8 hour 20 minute flight to HNL. We landed in HNL ( HONOLULU, HAWAII) around 2:33 PM enough time to get out and sight see after unpacking at our hotel. We got off the plane and saw sunny skies
